Top Tips For Buying Bath Towels

Monday, December 31st, 2007

By Niall Roche As much work and effort as you’ve put into your bathroom it’s never complete without one important, almost essential, accessory. What is that? The bath towel of course! The bathroom towel is more than a mere accessory… it’s an essential item for every single bathroom in the world. Your bathroom should be as comfortable as possible in every sense of the word and this includes quality, comfortable bath towels in all shapes and sizes. Most people just see a towel as something use to dry yourself after a bath, shower or even shaving. Towels mean a bit more than that though; people can be very particular about their towels - almost to excess at times. The look, feel and shape of the towel are always important - if you’re really honest with yourself. You need to ask yourself the question - “What type of towel person are you?”. Are you the type that likes the soft, velvety terry towels or do you much prefer a rougher towel to rub yourself down with after bathing? This is something to really consider before you go out and buy a new towel bale. When looking for new towels there are two basic types to pick from - the hand towel and the bath towel. A hand towel is a small towel normally kept near a sink in a bathroom or small separate toilet. It’s just a small convenient towel for your family or guests to dry their hands on. They just make more sense in the small spaces surrounding a sink and are less awkward to handle than a large bath towel. Now we can have a look at the actual bath towel itself. These come in all shapes and sizes with something to suit every taste and every budget. It’s important to look at your current bathroom decor and then mentally picture what type of towel would suit the room. If you’ve spent time and money on redecorating your bathroom then why spoil it by adding cheap, color mismatched towels to the room? If you shop clever then a great idea is to buy a towel bale that has the same shape and style of towel in several sizes - your hand towels and bath towels will match in every room! Buying a quality bath towel will also save you money in the long run. Cheaper bath towels tend to wear faster - that is they tend to fall apart after several months. You shouldn’t ever cut corners when buying something so personal as a bath towel. There are dozens of great online stores to find bath towels in so why not start looking today? Does any bathroom ever have enough towels? Are you looking to find the best quality bath towels? Check out BathroomCentral for tips on finding these and even more layout ideas for your bathroom for the DIY decorator. Review of Phone Service Providers

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Morgan_Hamilton]Morgan Hamilton Dont get me started on phone service providers. Well I guess I actually started this so I’ll explain my tone. First, there are decent, honest, and truly concerned phone service providers that do that you have no idea what it means. Sometimes they peer you so much nonsense that you just give up and go along with whatever is that they say. Yet other phone service providers will simply transfer you off to another employee a study have to go through the whole process of explaining yourself again. For example, when I relocated two years ago (while I searched for the ideal, quiet, remote area to settle and write without interruption of dogs barking, criminals thieving, drug addicts interfering, or gun shots startling), I had to call the two phone service providers I had already had service with for five years. One had an employee who explained to me the charges of switching over my DSL, relocating services, etc. That would take days, would require a deposit (again with the depositone that you never seem to get back), would demand a set-up and installation fee, would necessitate a new this fee and a flip such and such switch charges, etc. etc. It was maddening to have to go through all of this. Especially in light of the fact that I was already one of their customers. This new king of phone service providers (having bought out their competitor) sent a technician, based on SPECIFIC dates I had PURPOSELY arranged for because I had a tight schedule and didn’t want to rearrange it for the sake of the phone company, especially since I had given the advance notice and was paying insane fees to do so (I rely on the Internet). The technician went to the residents I was going to move into as I head previously requested while I had the old place cleaned. That would’ve been great except for the fact that I wasn’t there because he didn’t go when I had asked him to go. Ahem. I then actually got a angry phone call from him telling me that he couldn’t help me now if I wasn’t home. No sh*t. He may have tried to follow the work order and seen that my request with specific and made quite some time ago. But I’m guessing that wouldn’t have mattered. Of my two phone service providers, number two, however, was (and always has been) the antithesis of number one (and I use number one for distinction of order, not status, here, by the way). This second PSP I called when I was in the new place and had phone service, as it (the second one) is my long-distance carrier. Heres how the second interaction played out: When I called them up on actually had a human being answer the phone. I explained the following 1) have my long distance transferred from old point to new point; and 2) change my billing address. The woman types in the new information. She then requested that hold for a moment but she actually return rather quickly and stated, You know, you could be paying a lot less for your long distance, so I crunched some numbers for you. How about X (shockingly low by 3000% of what I had been paying) per minute? Are you kidding me? Did that just really happen? I think her profusely for doing such a wonderful job and she just humbly replied that it was her pleasure. But how many phone service providers have employees that REALIZE when you have a job, you do that job, and you do it right the first time as requested by the customer? I decided not to tell you which phone service provider gave me such shoddy service, but I will tell you that the second is good old AT&T. I guess the old company still knows what they’re doing. Some Truthful Hoodia Gordonii Weight Loss Information

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

By Taff Martin Hoodia Gordonii is a plant that very closely resembles a cactus. For thousands of years, this succulent has been steadily growing in the arid Kalahari Desert. Recently in 2004 Hoodia Gordonii has become a superstar by virtue of its natural appetite suppressing properties. In a world whose waistline is continually expanding, Hoodia Gordonii rates Prime Time. The San tribe of the Kalahari have long understood the properties of Hoodia Gordonii where the internal stem is chewed to fend off hunger during their prolonged hunting trips. The active ingredient in Hoodia Gordonii is a molecule known as P57 was patented in 1996 and became the focus of study by the South African CSIR. (Council for Scientific and Industrial Affairs). P57 tricks the brain into believing that our glucose, (blood sugar), levels are high indicating that we must be full. The giant pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer worked together with a UK company, PhytoPharm, to try and produce an appetite suppressing compound from the active ingredients in Hoodia Gordonii. Research was stopped during 2002 due to difficulties in removing chemicals found in P57 that are harmful to our liver. For this reason the drug would not be approved by the US FDA. There are no scientific studies or trials that have conclusively shown that Hoodia Gordonii works as an appetite suppressor or is effective in producing weight loss. One study took seven overweight patients who managed to shed an average of 3.3% of their bodyweight during the trial. Lack of scientific evidence has not stopped dietary supplement companies from marketing their products as containing Hoodia Gordonii. Trimspa stated that their Hoodia Gordonii weight loss products will not only suppress appetite but also lowers blood pressure. The FDA has advised that these claims are not supported by any scientific evidence. The Trimspa brand is the subject of a lawsuit in California over claims that the brand does not actually contain any Hoodia Gordonii ingredients. The biggest loser in the Hoodia Gordonii weight loss proceedings has been the San people of the Kalahari. PhytoPharm sold the P57 patent to Pfizer in a multi million dollar deal but the San were totally excluded from any remuneration. A quote during the whole debacle was from PhytoPharm’s CEO who said “I honestly believed that these Bushmen had died out and am sorry to hear that they feel hard done by.”. This was the start of a lawsuit by the San for compensation from the giant pharmaceuticals. The San put forward a statement through a prominent lawyer they had engaged that they were not averse to assisting the Western World in developing medical treatments using their knowledge but they were not going to be the product of “Bio Piracy” for the sake of weight loss products and sit back and do nothing. At this time so as to avoid embarrassment the CSIR worked out a deal with the San which entitled the San to a percentage of the profits from the marketing of Hoodia Gordonii. The upshot of all this is that the Hoodia Gordonii plant is a protected plant. It may only be harvested from the Kalahari by people who live there. A very small number of companies have been granted a license for harvesting. In closing it must be said that Hoodia Gordonii has been independently tested by world class reporters, such as Lesley Stahl from 60 Minutes and Tom Mangold of the BBC who both visited the Kalahari to check out the claims. Both reported that after chewing Hoodia Gordonii they did not feel hungry. As we all know the the media giants would jump all over what they perceived to be false information. Six Tips for Losing Weight

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

By Dada Vedaprajinananda Losing weight is not rocket science. All you have to do is increase your exercise and control your eating and you will lose weight. Of course this is easier said than done, but it is possible to do it. Many people give up the effort because they are overwhelmed with so many things to do. Dont eat this, eat this, do this, do that and many other instructions prove to be too much. OK, if you cant follow a whole program then why not make one change at a time in your lifestyle? I will give you a few examples. One of my yoga students came to me and told me that he had just lost 4 kilos (close to 9 pounds) in one month. How did he do it? He just did one thing: he fasted during one day of each week of that month. Thats all he did. If you dont like fasting or are not ready for it, then try one experiment with food. Give up eating foods with unnecessary added sugar such as cookies, cakes, candies, soda etc. I tried this recently and lost ten pounds. After a meal, instead of eating a sweet dessert I eat a piece of fruit. Its possible, and you dont have to change anything else. And, if you are not ready to change your eating habits, then try adding some exercise to your life. Take a walk after dinner instead of sitting in an easy chair watching TV. Put on your mp3 player, get out in the fresh air and digest your dinner with a brisk walk. Walk 20 minutes away from your home and 20 minutes back. Do this every night and you are sure to lose some weight, and also improve your digestion and sleep. Another small change you can make is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Four liters (quarts) spread out over the day will help you to control your appetite and also help your over-all bodily functions. If these above mentioned tips are not doable then try something else: do the three yoga postures which are explained in the Yoga Weight Loss Secrets ebook, twice a day. It will take you a total of forty minutes, and/or do the meditation that is described in the mini course and in the ebook. Finally, if you are gung-ho and would like to try all of these tips on a daily basis. Then here is what to do: 1. Give up unnecessary sweet foods, and substitute them with fruit 2. Do fasting on a regular basis (see my ebook or mini course for instructions) 3. Add brisk walking to your daily schedule (40 minutes) 4. Drink four liters of water every day 5. Practice yoga exercises two times a day 6. Practice meditation two times a day If you do any one of these things you will lose weight. If you do all of these, then your success is a sure guarantee. Mother’s Day Every Day

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

By Janie Jenkins When you think of making your mother special do you wait until a certain designated day of the year? How about making her feel special right now? When I think of my mother I think of the ways she made a difference for me as I was growing up as well as once grown. The first time I ever made tea, my mother was all the way across the country and long distance telephone charges were considered to be expensive. It seemed comical at the time when I called her over long distance to ask how to make tea! It took me a long time to understand what my mother meant when she often said, “Pretty is as pretty does.” I now know she meant it doesn’t matter how one looks, how one behaves is whether she is actually pretty or not. We’ve all seen people who “seemed” beautiful on sight until we experienced their personalities or attitudes. What are some memories you have of your mother? Did she have many sayings you remember? Were there many rules? What is a quote you have heard most of your life from your mother? A fun idea to consider is every time you think of your mother when a special memory occurs, get her a small gift and send it to her right then. Don’t wait for mother’s day to make her feel special. Do it immediately so she can experience the frequency of your thoughts of her. A “mother thought gift” doesn’t have to be costly. It can be as simple as writing a special note to her on some beautiful paper. Mothers just seem to love beauty, don’t they? On Mother’s Day this year, give an extra special something that lights up your mother’s life. Janie Jenkins is the “Easy To Do” instruction expert. Cell Phone Excites Human Brain

Monday, December 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ellango_Narayanan]Ellango Narayanan 1. Mobile Phones Excite the Human Brain - Study A study by Italian researchers has reported that cellphone emissions may “excite” the brain, although it is not clear if this is harmful - or indeed, even possibly a good thing. When a cellphone is placed next to the head, an area close to the phone is excited, although this then settles down after around an hour of rest from cellphone usage. The researchers suggest further research to find out the implications of this excitement effect.Fifteen male volunteers attended two experimental sessions, one week apart, in a cross-over, double-blind paradigm. In one session the signal was turned ON (EMF-on, real exposure), in the other it was turned OFF (EMF-off, sham exposure), for 45 minutes. Motor Evoked Potentials (MEPs) were recorded using a paired-pulse paradigm (testing intracortical excitability with 1 to 17 ms interstimulus intervals), both before and at different times after exposure to the EMF. Short Intracortical Inhibition (SICI) and Facilitation (ICF) curves were evaluated both on the exposed and non-exposed hemispheres. Tympanic temperature was collected during each session. The research was funded jointly by Telecom Italia Mobile and Associazione Fatebenefratelli per la Ricerca. Lawn Alternatives

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By R Birch From coast to coast the lawn is one the most common garden features in the landscape. Its also one of the most labor intensive and difficult to grow as it requires regular maintenance. Though all gardens require some maintenance, lawn require more than most. Between fertilizer, weekly mowing and other tasks such as aerating, lawns are among the most labor intensive and chemically drenched types of landscape. While some lawn space may be managed with little trouble, large vast, weed-free lawns should be rethought. Rethink what your landscape could be and consider introducing native alternatives into your garden. Think about reducing the size of your lawn and replacing it with a more low maintenance, environmentally friendly alternative. The result is often beautiful. Natural gardens emphasize the natural environment and utilize native species of plants which are often quite easy to grow. Plant which are native to a specific area have adapted to certain site conditions and are generally self sustaining. They’ll need little, if any, fertilizer and no more water than is provided by rain. Natural gardens consist of a rich and varied mix of plants. They introduce a diversity to a garden and use trees, shrubs and perennials not found in some gardens. Natural gardens also provide a landscape with a sense of place. Lawns are ubiquitous and it’s often difficult to distinguish a garden in New York from one in Washington even though their landscapes and climates are completely different. Gardens which mimic the existing landscape are successful because they’re easy to maintain and will thrive even in the most extreme conditions. They’ve adapted to do so. Planting a natural garden can help restore the landscape, attract a variety of bird species and provide the garden with a wonderful mix of under utilized, interesting plants. A woodland garden, for instance, is a landscape which emphasizes the natural conditions of the forest. Woodland gardens are low maintenance They also add to your garden a wide range of plants which provide seasonal interest. In the dappled shade beneath deciduous trees, perennials bloom profusely throughout the spring months. In the shadier conditions of the woodland garden in summer, the spring floral display gives way to perennials and shrubs with rich varied foliage. Woodland gardens also provide a shady respite from the hot afternoon sun of summer. In the fall, after the colorful leaves drop to the ground, there are woodland plants which will provide a second bloom to brighten up the garden. Wildflower meadows are another natural landscape type. Meadows are noted for their low maintenance, wide diversity of plants, vibrant colors, interesting textures and seasonal changes. Along with these aesthetic benefits there are ecological benefits as well, including the reduced need for maintenance, the creation of a habitat for native species of animals and the fact that wildflower meadows are very effective at trapping airborne pollutants. Meadows are relatively easy to create and need minimal maintenance once established. The reward is a colorful, self sustaining, low maintenance landscape. All gardens require some sort of care and attention, natural gardens, those requiring less of it, are no exception. As in any garden., you’ll need to deadhead, prune and occasionally weed in order to encourage blooming flowers and healthy growth. Native Remedies: 3 Reasons You Should Consider Native Remedies

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

By Christopher Whitcomb I know what you are thinking already. Native remedies are all just scams. They don’t actually work. When I get sick I will go to the doctor, not some herbalist! Well to be honest the doctor’s office IS the first place you should visit if you are ill. That does not mean that native remedies do not work. After all, plants are still the main source of medicine for than 3.5 billion people to this day. From South America to Africa to Asia many people still rely on just plants alone to treat their illnesses. Most of our modern drugs today are derivatives of plants or plant extracts. Below I will discuss 3 reasons why herbal medicine can be a valuable alternative to modern drugs. One of the main reasons people turn to native remedies is they have FAR fewer side effects than traditional drugs. Have you ever seen those prescription drug commercials on television? At the end they always say this drug may cause diarrhea, headache, dry mouth, back pain, etc. The list goes on and on. It’s funny to see that you sometimes need to make a choice between which is worse, your illness, or the side effects of the cure. Plants are much more benign and attuned to our bodies than lab made chemicals. The cost of many native remedies is less than our modern prescriptions. There are many people here in the U.S. that are uninsured or underinsured. This problem is especially bad for the elderly who are often on a fixed budget and in need of many prescriptions. It is quite sad to see so many people who just can’t afford to pay for their medicine. Now I don’t want grandma to stop taking her heart medicine for the latest native remedy, but she could use herbal cures for arthritis, headaches, back pain, and many other ailments that many seniors suffer from. The third reason is that native remedies actually work. This is why so many people use them. The therapeutic effects of many herbs have been scientifically proven. After all, plants are the main source of several modern drugs. It really is strange to think that penicillin wasn’t even available before 1928. As I’m sure you already know penicillin comes from mold. I’m sure we can think of mold as natural. Many other modern drugs come from plants also a few of them are Quinine, Morphine, Codeine, Aspirin, and Digitalis. There is no doubt that we have benefited from modern science. There have been many scientific breakthroughs that have made our standard of living much better. Native remedies should never replace doctors. The funny thing is doctors shouldn’t replace natural drugs either. There are many reasons to use natural herbal cures. Sometimes they just work much better, or sometimes they may work the same for you as standard prescriptions, but without the horrible side effects. If you have a nagging problem that you just can’t cure you might just want to take a look into herbal remedies. If you are interested in more information on natural remedies you can visit my website at http://www.nativeremedy.org Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Christopher_Whitcomb http://EzineArticles.com/?Native-Remedies:-3-Reasons-You-Should-Consider-Native-Remedies&id=467553 buy ultram online at lowest price buy ultram online fast purchase tramadol without prescription ultram
